October 5 and 6, 2020. European Workshop – EUFRAS “Preparing advisers for the Digital Era”

The workshop explained how the digital tools AGROasesor and AGROgestor are integrated into agricultural advisory services and how to implement and evaluate an eco-scheme using these tools.

On October 5 and 6, the public company INTIA has organized the European replication workshop of the Life AGROgestor project: “digital advisory tools, Eco-schemes in the new CAP”, within the framework of the web conference “Preparing Advisers for the Digital Era ”, organized by LRATC / EUFRAS / IALB / GFRAS.

The European AGROgestor workshop began with the presentation, by Amaia Marruedo, Marta Goñi and Ana Pilar Armesto from INTIA, of the AGROgestor project and platform and the pilot program developed in the nitrate-vulnerable zone of the Robo River, a practical case of use of the HAD Nitro. Next, Ana Aizpurua from Neiker presented AGROgestor as a tool for ECO-schemes within the new PAC.

In the second part of the workshop, several interactive exercises have been carried out with about 30 participants from organizations from various European countries (Spain, Germany, Ireland, Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, Portugal and Latvia) and from Brazil, Russia, Chile, Mexico and Madagascar. For this, the workshop has been structured in 3 phases: in the first, the environmental program that needs to be addressed has been identified (What environmental program do we want to evaluate and analyze? Where and what actors are involved? What indicators and where to obtain the information?); in the second, the action plan has been designed to address the issues identified in the previous phase (the target scenario is defined with key indicators); and in the third phase the scheme of the applied measures has been evaluated.
